For those who
thought we were going to move to Bry sur Marne, where the church is, I
will now correct that idea. We actually moved into a little studio in a
town called Yerres, (more on the town later), owned by a nice young couple from the church in
Paris. They renovated a building on their property and furnished it with
the idea of having young couples or students in the ministry live here.
Sounded just right to us. I'm not sure whether to call it a studio, or an apartment or a little house. For now, it's just our new "place".

So we have our own little entrance and three windows to have lots of
light. It's all tiled floor, which is freezing now, but I bet we'll love
it in the summer. They furnished it with: a couch, coffee table, tv and
stand, microwave/oven, cupboard with drawers, table with two chairs,
sink and drying rack, two burner stove, mini fridge with freezer,
cupboard with plates and silverware, a variety of kitchen utensils, loft
bed, shelves and clothes rack, iron and board, washing machine, drying
rack, broom and mop, and an entrance mirror/coat hook thingy. They also
hung some curtains and pictures for us. After a couple days I realized
the three pictures were of San Francisco, Paris, and a lake in England
for our three nationalities. So thoughtful. :)

So we've added a rug and a blanket and a throw pillow to have a little warmth and comfort. The tv stand is on wheels so we can move it to the side when not in use.
All in all, we like it very much so far. We've managed to find room for a few kitchen things like a rice cooker, toaster, Nespresso machine, and a water kettle. I've tested the microwave's oven capabilities with pizza and it turned out okay, so we'll have to see how it works with a cake or cookies. I haven't tried to do laundry yet either...
Looks great--can't wait to visit.
