Normandy

After a wonderful few days in the Loire Valley, we headed northwest into Normandy stopping at Mont Saint-Michel first. It was fun to be back after a year and a half, and to see all the changes they've made to the town on the mainland. They've been doing construction and changing the layout, so the bay can be returned to its natural state. Of course, we stopped at the Biscuietrie de Mont Saint Michel first to get some free samples, and pick up some biscuits and cider. Then we hiked up through town to visit the Abbey.

After staying the night in Cabourg, we drove up to the lovely little fishing town of Honfleur. It is a little touristy, but it's just so charming we don't mind. Plus there was a boulangerie that had fresh made pain au chocolat that melted in our mouths.

Since the day was so sunny and beautiful, we made our way back down the coast stopping in Houlgate and Cabourg to walk around in town and along the coast. Glad we could end out trip in the sunshine!
