Before and After: House Upgrades

We've been slowly working away on a few major areas of the house that needed upgrades. The bathroom on the main floor was the first to take our attention as we noticed right away that the rim around the bath was about 2in lower than the bath itself. So anytime we showered in there we would get a pool of water. :( Not good.

Paul completely re-tiled around the bath, replaced the shower head so we could use it normally, and replaced the curtain with a fancy glass door. He did all the work himself!

Next project was our living/dining room, which as you can see below when we moved in was a salmon colored pink and light blue. The long curtains as well didn't match either! So those came down and we repainted the walls to more acceptable colors, white on top and a beige/tan on the bottom. We also painted over the wooden border in between.

What a difference right?! We're looking to replace the brown couch there and then I'll look for curtains and other accessories to match that. So it's like this for now. The big table we ordered online and painted the legs white to match the white chairs.

We also just received a dishwasher from Paul's parents as our birthday present, which is such a life changer! :)
