Versailles is one of my favorite places around Paris, but we haven't been out there in years! We used to go quite often when we were dating and then I've had to go for work before, but since it had been a while, we decided to go on a bike ride and join a Fat Tire tour for the day.
The weather was hot and sunny and the views did not disappoint.
We got to go in the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon, and Marie Antoinette's Hameau. Behind the hameau, (that's where she had built a mini village she could go play in), is a little farm with goats, donkeys, chicken and rabbits. We got to stop and feed them!
Julia got to ride tandem behind daddy! Even though she can ride really well on her own, we weren't sure she would last until the end of an 6 hour tour.
James loved the bike riding part, but not so much the walking around and listening to history part. He got tired after a while too...
We have bikes at home so we try to get out for a ride when the weather is nice, but our neighborhood isn't quite as nice as these grounds. :)
