Free champagne? Chocolate? With a free guided trip up the Eiffel Tower? Yes please! We didn't have any plans for Valentine's day until we heard we'd get a free tour if we helped pour the champagne beforehand. Easy choice-I signed us right up! Did I mention my job comes with perks?
After freezing so much in the morning that the tower was closed for a few hours, it cleared up by the end of the afternoon to clear skies.
After the lovely champagne and filling my bag with chocolates, we headed up the tower with Greg, one of our guides from Australia. The views were excellent, the tour was fun, and we had a free Valentine's evening.
Here we are at the very top where it was cold and windy, but worth the view. (Well, in my opinion it is. Those who are afraid of heights differ on that.) Now to not wait two years before going again. :)
Nice to get the story to go with the pictures. You look very "perk"y in the picture with Paul. Were there many others up there?
