A Day in Deauville

A few weeks ago we took advantage of an extra day off to use a present we had received good for a night at a hotel/spa. We got to choose the place, and found a good one in Deauville, on the Normandy coast not too far from Paris.
Despite a mixup when we arrived, (finding out we were only reserved for one night instead of the planned two), we had an excellent time taking advantage of the pool and spa area (hot tub, sauna, and free tea!).

The view from our room.
The biggest highlight we discovered was the breakfast. All you can eat buffet that included eggs, sausages, salmon, cheese, champagne,  pastries, and of course croissants, pain au chocolat, jams, cereals, and some of the best juice we've ever had. There was even a fancy Nespresso machine Paul took full advantage of.

Walking through town, we discovered a charming area and enjoyed looking around until the weather turned a little less sunny.

It went by much too fast, but luckily we get to go back to get our second night another time.

  1. We went through Deauville going to Honfleur when we stayed at Cobourg didn't we? it sounds familiar.

  2. Yep! Trouville too. We like Cabourg much better, so you didn't miss much.
