For our little munchkin's first tour of the US, we spent most of our short two weeks in the beautiful northwestern states of Washington and Oregon.
We started our first couple days north of Seattle on Whidbey Island. Our friends Molly and Ryan let us stay with them at her parent's cabin there right by the water. They had paddleboards too! Some other close friends came up for the weekend and we played and bar-b-qued for lunch. Julia thought their dog Bowie was also pretty fun.
One of our first days in Oregon was spent at the coast in Lincoln City. After a seafood lunch (with clam chowder of course) we headed to the beach. Beautiful and windy, we weren't able to spend more than an hour down their depsite the sun.
The highlight of the weekend was going to my cousin Jordan's wedding. He was married at a house up on a bluff outside of Sisters, in eastern Oregon. So fun to see my extended family, including my grandma.
On Monday we took Paul to the Oregon State Fair. We went most years when I was growing up. Which was pretty easy when it's only 10 minutes from our house. Paul and I rode over the fair in the chair lift until the rides opened up. After going on rides, we played some carnival games until Paul won the ring toss! We got a bear. :) After a corn dog lunch and ice cream cones, we walked around the rest of the fair looking at the booths. Then we called it a day after seeing the animals.

We spent our last day back up in Seattle with brother John and going downtown. We had beautiful weather the whole time and really enjoyed seeing everyone.
It looks like Bowie was more tolerant of Julia than either Puma or Jason.
