This year was my 4th Thanksgiving in France spent with Paul's family. We invited over two other American families here, the Sanders and the Onkens. They both have kids under 4 and go to church in Paris where the Bourdois go. So for the meal we had 8 adults and 4 kids under 4.
Our menu:
Turkey and Gravy
Mashed Potatoes
Grilled Sweet Potatoes
Parmesan-encrusted Parsips
Peas
Corn on the cob
Sausage Stuffing
Green Bean Cassorole
Golden Crescent Rolls
Salad
For Dessert:
Apple Pie
Pumpkin Pie
Julia ate mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and mashed up peas and loved it all. She was very excited to have everyone there and played with all the kids. Later in the afternoon, all her cousins came over for dessert and filled the house even more!
Now we're ready to start decorating for Christmas!
What a menu; I'm very interested in the Parmesan encrusted parsnips--how did you do that? and did you make the crescent rolls, too? I made some for our dinner.
ReplyDeleteThe parsnips were all Margaret and very good. I think she rolled them in flour and then parmesan. Or maybe it was a mixture together? I'll have to ask her. I did make the crescent rolls and everyone liked them.
