Fall fun

We've had quite a few fun weekends this past month, including celebrating Paul's birthday. It could be argued this is my favorite time of year, even though I love the summer sun, because there is something I connect with during fall. The colors and feel in the air. Playing in the leaves and feeling the chill. It's not so cold yet that you can't be outside a lot, and let's be honest, fall colors just go with my skin tone. :) 

  We took advantage of the changing trees a few weeks ago and continued our tradition of taking family photos in the Bois de Vincennes. It was a bit more work this time with an energy filled toddler, but we managed some good shots. 

   For Halloween, I had agreed to organize a kids party for American kids and it turned out really well! Lots of kids and their families came and played games, made crafts and had treats. Our little cowgirl was one of the most adorable, but it took a bit of convincing to get her in her costume. She did like the hat at times, and she had a cow to bring along too. I'm just enjoying it now before princess fever hits for the next 10 years. Paul was also dressed as sheriff, but I didn't get a picture!

   We've had a sudden turn around with the weather lately after record low temperatures in early October, now it feels almost in the 60s in the sun! We took advantage and went for a little walk, but didn't get far before stopping to play in the leaves. She is getting good at her scooter now, but still prefers to push it most of the time.
